Additional Sites Added Where Individuals May Have been Exposed to Measles in Maricopa County

PHOENIX (Aug. 26, 2019) – Maricopa County Department of Public Health and Arizona Department of Health Services are continuing to investigate locations where a teenage visitor may have exposed others to measles.

Below is a full list of all exposure sites known at this time, including dates and times of risk. Newly-confirmed sites where the individual was infectious are in bold.

August 9, 2019

  • Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, 8000 Arizona Grand Pkwy, Phoenix (whole day)

August 10, 2019

  • Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, 8000 Arizona Grand Pkwy, Phoenix (whole day)
  • Arizona Mills Mall, 5000 S Arizona Mills Circle, Tempe, 11:30AM-5PM
  • Gila River Arena for World Hip Hop International Dance Championships, 9400 W Maryland Ave, Glendale, 6:30PM

August 11, 2019

  • Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, 8000 Arizona Grand Pkwy, Phoenix (until 7 pm)
  • Arizona Mills Mall, 5000 S Arizona Mills Circle, Tempe, 11AM-6PM
  • Harkins Theatre at Arizona Mills Mall, 5000 S Arizona Mills Circle, Tempe, 12:45PM-6:00PM
  • Includes “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” showings at 1:15PM and 4:30PM
  • Sky Harbor Airport, Terminal 2, 5PM-10PM

If you were at any of these locations during these dates and times, please monitor for symptoms.

If you develop symptoms, such as fever or an unexplained rash, stay home and contact a health care provider over the phone. Please let the healthcare provider know that you may have been exposed to measles.

There is no ongoing risk of measles at these locations at this time.
