Skills Training
GateWay Community College (GWCC), formerly known as the Maricopa Skill Center, is a hands-on training center designed to prepare students with the skills they need to start a career. Their goal is employment for students through hands-on, competency-based training developed by employers. Upon completion of training, students possess all the workplace skills desired by employers.
Veteran students at GWCC may use their GI Bill benefits and school staff are available to assist students in applying for their educational benefits. GWCC is recognized as an Arizona Veteran Supportive Campus by the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services and was also recognized in 2017 as a Military Friendly School for providing the best opportunities and support for military service members and spouses.
