Lake Pleasant for MyMC

Maricopa County's Regional Parks Virtual Event: Nov. 15 - Dec. 10


This new, virtual County-Sponsored Well-Being Event is replacing the in-person Durango 5K Fun Run/Walk and Mesa Walk in 2021. You can participate with your co-workers, or for the first time, you can invite up to four of your outside family and friends to be your teammates

The details:

  • Register starting November 1 on the Wellness Portal
  • It’s a team challenge. Teams can have 2-5 members 
  • If you want to include your friends and family on your team, invite them before the Challenge starts
  • Track your steps manually or sync with a tracker each week of the challenge 
  • Participate on non-paid time and coordinate coverage with your supervisor 
  • After the Challenge, report your participation for the “County-Sponsored Well-Being Event” activity in the Wellness Portal

Heartbeat character and design

Healthy Living Program:

This lifestyle change program is designed to help you improve your weight, feel more energetic, and take control of your health! It is an 8-week virtual series with WEEKLY meetings:

  • January 20 – March 18 | Thursdays
    12:00-1:00 pm AZ Time

Eligibility:
To participate, you must:

  • Be a Maricopa County employee
  • Register for the program through the link below
  • Attend at least 6 of the 8 weekly sessions to earn credit for one “Your Choice” activity

Why Join?
Classes are led by registered dietitians / dietetic technicians who will provide education, support, and guidance along your journey to a healthier YOU! Classes cover a variety of topics including healthy eating, understanding carbohydrates, facts on fats, perfect proteins, cooking demonstrations, exercise, stress management, sleep, and much more!

Your Wellness Portal is where you’ll go to elevate your health and wellness and earn your Wellness Reward of $60/month! Register here. Call 866-941-2143 with questions.

The activities required to earn your Wellness Reward include completing a Health Check Survey (health assessment), and two “Your Choice” activities.

REGULAR PROGRAMMING INCLUDES:

  • LA Fitness memberships at reduced rates for County employees and their familiesWellness Banner
  • Onsite Fitness Centers with free memberships at various County locations
  • Weight Watchers at Work reimbursement for employees who meet program requirements
  • Wellness campaigns offered throughout the year (Bike to Work Day, Fitness Walk, etc.)
  • A  Wellness Incentive ($60.00/month) to help employees reduce the cost of their medical premium
